2019.11.26Blauer Kompass contest goes into next roundWanted: projects dealing with impacts of climate change

Greening the office roof, unsealing the schoolyard, farming crops which are adapted to climate change, flood management measures, etc. This is the fourth time the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) is acknowledging local and regional projects which make a real contribution to coping with the effects of climate change in Germany.

Project ideas can be submitted to www.uba.de/blauerkompass in three categories:

  • Category 1: Private and public enterprises
  • Category 2: Education and research institutions
  • Category 3: Societies, associations, foundations

Deadline for submissions: 10 February 2020

All four winning projects of the Blauer Kompass contest will be celebrated at a prize awards ceremony scheduled to be held at the Federal Environment Ministry in Berlin on 26 June 2020. Each winner receives a trophy as well as support through national press and public relations campaigns. A short film about every project is shown at the awards ceremony.
